An interesting, attractive and very carefully delineated manuscript map of the land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers - modern day Iraq. Signed Lutwidge and dated January 29th, we can offer no further clues to the author of the map. His style is elegant and artistic - the lettering and physical details of the map itself are carefully placed and coloured. Around the map an ink border is decorated with intertwined snakes. A wonderfully curious map.
