A miniature double hemisphere world map forms the focus of this title page along with a portrait of the first Dutch circumnavigator, Olivier van Noort, who is shown with his ship. The voyage's date of 1601 is also noted on the map. Native American figures flank the portrait, which is set on a title-page from Part XI of De Bry's "Minor Voyages". One small wormhole appears on the blank margin.
