George Louis Le Rouge's deocrative map of England and Wales was published in his "Atlas General". A printed date of 1745 appears beneath the title cartouche at upper right. County boundaries are printed, the major roads are shown and numerous towns and villages are named - all at a good scale. This example has been augmented with attractive, later hand colour.
