A New Map Of Europe With Its Modern Divisions ...

Very detailed and uncommon wall-map of Europe, extending into Russia as far as the Urals, by a little encountered English publisher. This example identifies itself as the fifth edition of the map, frequently re-issued over a very short period of time, to show up-to-date information on the progress and changes of allegiance during the Napoleonic Wars, particularly within the old Germany Empire. A key at lower right indicates, by way of differently coloured borders, the current state of national borders, their situations prior to the Treaty of Tilsit of, 1807, the extent of the French Empire before the Revolution, and so on. This issue is not found in the British Library, which holds examples dated 1803 and 1806 only.
