A very unusual thematic map of the once-Hungarian region of Bacs, between the Danube and the Theis rivers, with "Stadt Maria Theresiopolis" (modern Subotica) prominent. An extensive key down the right hand border identifies, by way of 49 symbols, a variety of features including those relative to the economic activities of the region. Locations are marked with symbols to identify "Vinum", "Vinum Rubrum", "Cultura Tabaci", "Equaria", "Oviaria", and "Granarium". Other important information such as post roads, main roads, Catholic parishes, Greek Orthodox parishes, printing presses, freetowns, arsenals and so on are also shown. A finely engraved and fascinating map, in good condition with an old library stamp.
