The so-called "Nuremberg Chronicle" is regarded as one of the finest and most important books of the early period of printing, renowned for its numerous woodcut illustrations showing natural phenomena, European and Middle Eastern towns, Biblical, historical and mythological events and maps of the ancient, Ptolemaic world and one of modern Europe.
