good condition, this is the key map plate for John Ogilby's famous road book, the "Britannia". Engraved by James Moxon, the map is dominated, at top right, by an elaborate cartouche incorporating a listing entitled "A Catalog Of The Roads." The map is recorded in four states; this is the second, with the addition of decorated ships in the Irish Sea and mouth of the Thames.
