A detailed chart of Carlingford. Captain Greenville Collins' "Coasting Pilot" was the first systematic survey of the British coastline, and the first sea atlas produced in London from original surveys. Collins was appointed to the task by Charles II in 1681 and published his first edition in 1693. The charts were reissued, with little updating, until 1792.
