Multum in Parvo - England's smallest county. An attractive and detailed map of the county of Rutland. The map was engraved for publication in "Camden's Britannia" in editions from 1695 until 1772. The "Britannia" had first been published in 1586 without maps. Morden's maps are plain and simple in design yet are most appealling, invariably with decorative title surround, and are charmingly engraved. Their detail, convenient size, visual attraction and antiquity make them among the most popular of all
early county maps.
