From the first world atlas produced in England, John Speed's map is a typically decorative "carte a figures". The detailed map is bordered by side panels depicting costumed figures, whilst above are vignettes of notable places including Pressburg (Bratislava), Ofen, Comorra and Raab. A good early printing with English text describing the country on the reverse.
