From the first world atlas produced in England, Speed's map of Greece lacks the decorative elements that typify others in the "Prospect Of The Most Famous Parts Of The World", but is a clearly engraved version of the influential map of 1545 by Nikolaos Sophianous, also used by Ortelius and many others. A good early printing with English text on the reverse describing the country and its history.
