Half calf, a little worn, with original boards. Wardington bookplate. Available originally in separate parts and here issued as a complete atlas documenting each Diocese of England and Wales. Five pages are devoted to each diocese and comprise an outline map of the Diocese, listings of the Parishes within each Deanery and statistical tables with a double-page map displaying the coat-of-arms of each Bishopric. The atlas was started by James Thomas Law of Lichfield Theological College and completed by a student with maps lithographed by W.J.Sackett in Birmingham. Of added interest is the advertisement label of Lomax, Bookseller of Lichfield, seen on the front pastedown endpaper.
