Quarto. Vol I:pp.xxii including titlepage and dedication, 32 maps and plans (of which one is a large, folded chart), pp.1-21 observations. Vol II: Blue backed folding chart entitled "To The Right Honourable The Lords Commisioners For Executing The Office Of Lord High Admiral Of Great Britain, Ireland & This Chart Of St George's Channel &c. Surrveyed Under Their Lordships' Direction By The Late Lewis Morris Esqr. Which Is Now Extended By An Actual Survey The Whole Corrected And Much Improved From Liverpool To Cardiff In The Bristol Channel". Both volumes matching modern quarter calf with buckram boards by Sangorski and Sutcliffe, panelled in gilt with Pease family doves (Wardington bookplate also found at rear of Volume I). Uniform browning to the harbour plans and a little wear at old folds on the blue-backed chart. A wonderful opportunity to acquire both the second edition of 1801 of Lewis Morris' plans, and also the rare chart of St. George's Channel, engraved by William Simpkins. The two are rarely found together. An important British set of charts.
