An attractive yet functional map of the Hawaiian islands from "Polynesian Researches" by William Ellis. The map was published by H.Fisher and P.Jackson in London and their imprint is shown beneath the map. Each of the islands is clearly named and some of the bay names are also included. Oahu appears in an inset at lower left and a light hachuring is used to indicate land relief on this and the other islands.
