An infrequently seen map of China by Parbury Allen, engraved by J & C Walker, and deducated the the Earl of Munster. The map lays cliam to being based on the "latest surveys and other authentic documents". Its large-scale presentation allows for considerable detail to be shown with considerable physical detail of the land's relief also given. Only partial outlines of Formosa are given and Japan displays a rather curious outline. Nevertheless, a fascinating nineteenth-century map of China.
