A famous map of Cyprus by Abraham Ortelius, the Antwerp cartographer, complete with an inset plan of Lemnos. Stylianou, in “The History Of The Cartography Of Cyprus”, remarks that Ortelius, who usually credits his sources, had not done so for this map although he had used as his source Francesco Cammocio of Venice. This example has Latin text to verso.
