A sought-after sea chart with essentially two maps on one page; the first showing the River Avon from Bristol to the sea, and the second showing the Kinsale River. This example is a good, strong impression of the chart with clear, dark engraving. Place names appeare in English, Dutch and also, occasionally, French. As one might expect from a practical sea-chart of this period it is traversed with rhumb lines, includes compass roses indicating north on the page and shows numerous sounding depths - all assisting the sailor with his navigations. A most attractive and appealing item.
