With attractive original colour clearly delineating each of the four provinces this is a most enticing map of Ireland. Covens and Mortier re-issued De Wit's map of the island adding their own imprint. The scale and size of the map allows for many towns and villages to be names, for major roads to be shown and for good physical detail to appear. The title cartouche in the upper left corner is supported by putti and the lower right corner hosts a mileage scale and key with further putti frolicking with an Irish harp. Minor restoration to old folds otherwise in good condition - a fine decorative map.
