An uncommon and detailed map of Buckinghamshire. John Harrison's atlas "Maps Of The English Counties" appeared in just two editions - of 1791 and '92. Many of the maps have earlier dates in their imprints reflecting the date of the completion of the draught and engraving by Haywood (sometimes Heywood) and Sudlow. Although lacking decorative embellishments, these attractive and interesting maps reflect the transition from the elaborate works of the mid-eighteenth century to the functional works of the next.
