Blaeu's map of Granata and Murcia is delicately and finely engraved in typical style. Original outline colour delineates the region's borders and highlights the major towns of Malaga, Beria, Almeria and Granada. With Latin text to the verso. Some detail of the neighbouring regions of Andalucia showing Seville and Castille is also shown. Gibraltar is also depicted. The title appears in a decorative cartouche at lower right with the mileage scale in the opposite corner. The map also depicts the nearby north African coast and the Mediterranean is illustrated with warring ships and decorative compass roses.
