A large-scale and very decorative plan of London and the South Bank printed here on eight separate sheets - each laid on canvas. These eight sheets represent a 1905 facsimile reproduction by the London Topographical Society of Ralph Agas' map of c.1560, which was once in the possession of Sir Hans Sloane. The depiction of Elizabethan London still has, surprisingly, much in common with today's street layout and structure. With the Royal Arms and the Arms of the City of London this is a most impressive item.
