A fine example of an early "modern" depiction of Arabia. Light staining to the margins, but otherwise in very good condition. Ruscelli's map of Arabia shows the peninsula in its "modern" (as opposed to Ptolemaic) outline and is based on the earlier 1548 map of Giacomo Gastaldi. Ruscelli's maps were published in "La Geografia Di Claudio Tolomeo Alessandrino" from 1561. Giordano Ziletti reprinted the atlas with Italian text, as evidenced here, in 1564.
