An uncommon and detailed map of all Asia published by the Paris mapmaker Pierre Du Val. Arabia, Persia and the Mogol India appear disproportionately larger than neighbouring areas due to the map's unusual projection. A key at lower left gives symbols identifying sea ports and archbishoprics, all important knowledge for European travellers.
