"Miniature". Tp, pp.[i] contents, 12 double-page maps with original colour. Red flexible leather covers with title in gilt on front cover. A charming miniature atlas published by the London map-sellers Edward Stanford as a facsimile of that miniature atlas made for H.M.Queen Mary's doll house. Maps include the world with the countries of the empire coloured in red, India, New Zealand, Australia, parts of Africa and so on. The late Louis Bondy, expert in miniature books, stated, "to the best of our knowledge this rare volume is the smallest miniature atlas in existence". A fantastic little item!
