Based on the constellations of Hevelius and the format of Eimmart this is a very attractive celestial chart. The celestial hemispheres are surrounded by diagrams illustrating Tychonic and Ptolemaic theories set against a background of dark clouds. Other diagrams illustrate the relation between the moon and the tides, the phases of the moon and so on. This is Peter Schenk's plate, later reissued by the Ottens family in their "Atlas Sive Geographia Compendia".
