This German language broadside refers to the regicide Oliver Cromwell, his assaults on Scotland and Ireland and the first Anglo-Dutch naval war. Fought over trade disputes this was a success for the navy of the British Republic. Signed by C.Vom Pas, this plate may well be the work of Crispijn Van De Passe II, noted Dutch engraver of that era.
