Rare sea-chart of the southern North Sea, published by George Grierson for his pirated Dublin edition of "The English Pilot. Part I. Describing The Sea Coasts, Capes, Head-Lands, Bays ... In The Southern Navigation ... ". The chart is very similar to the English version - Grierson did not insert his own imprint - but the engraving is not quite to the same standard. Showing the Thames Estuary, East Anglia and the Dutch coasts, with sandbanks and innumerable soundings, this is an attractive example of a working chart.
