A two sheet map of Ireland showing the northern and southern parts respectively. These sheets, along with a map of Ireland on one sheet, were found in editions of "Carte Generales De La Geographie ..." published from 1665 onwards. Each sheet has its own title cartouche - the north sheet cartouche includes water nymphs and monsters. Sanson, the leading French mapmaker of the period, cites Boazio and Speed as his sources. Original outline colour delineates each of the four provinces and individual counties are also clearly shown.
