A splendid plan-perspective of St. James's Palace, the Mall with coaches and troops, and also St.James's Park, long before it was landscaped. The panorama was published in "Britannia Illustrata". The name of Knyff as artist and Kip as engraver are given at lower left and right, respectively. This example also bears the imprint "Printed & Sold by J.Smith at ye Sign of Exeter Change in ye Strand". With attractive later hand colour and one small hole in the (wide) margin repaired.
